Tibo Labat uses time, space and dynamics of site as opportunities that open up design and research processes. He works on mainly on temporary structures built from scratch with materials gathered on and around the sites where his interventions take place. Tibo is a founding member of the Fertile collective (Nantes) which focuses on low-tech and self-built urbanism. He has gained experience working with exyzt on temporary interventions such as the Southwark lido in London, Doina Petrescu of AAA with the rurban project, as well as being involved in DIY approaches with YA+K. He has recently coordinated Tuvalu, an art-research intervention with artist Stefan Shankland (HQAC), in which he explored the themes of urban metabolism, global fluxes of materials, and soil regeneration.
