Miguel ‘Sempre’ Magalhães

Lisbon grown U.S. born architect and soul sailor.
Sailing is all about becoming a pirate and drinking rum!
It’s also about paying attention to the elements, the boat and the crew… and act accordingly.
For me life is somewhat very much alike!
Since I can remember I’ve been drawing everything: plants, people, buildings, cities, landscapes…
One day I realized that drawing can be part of something much more extraordinary: shaping the reality around us! How to draw with people to shape spaces, processes and sketch possible ways for the future of our cities?
Already lived in several countries between Europe, Africa and South-East Asia and got on board of various collaborative and community engaging hands-on processes.
I’m in love with people interaction potential to generate unexpected amazing outcomes and firmly believe in “opening the source” by getting different skills, interests and cultural backgrounds together to generate rich learning and productive grounds for all.

In ContructLab projects I tend to find this in very stimulating forms!
