International digital network Constructlab

How together, how to gather? Those are the questions that inspires our collaborative work. Under even more difficult pandemic conditions during past years, the digital space developed a new perspective on how to gather. But the digital gathering is different, it’s fast and immediate but also more anonymous. Instead of coming together through a project experience with time to develop a togetherness, in the digital world the conditions have to be set from the start.

How to define the conditions that explain our common ground? How to grow a digital space that can support and catalyse already existing dynamics in our collaborative work?

We are developing a prototype for an international digital networking platform by integrating our realities, towards :

A platform as starting point in itself: a framework that is open to change, flexible, which enables growth.
A platform not about determining and establishing, but about opening up and bringing up.
A platform where the common ground is challenged and in movement, not definite.
A platform that enables and activates exchange, exchange, exchange…
An invitation to join, participate and learn.

Through a series of public digital workshops in autumn 2022 we are going to start on the common ground. Thematically we are taking up on questions concerning our field of work and planning a workshop to each theme:

climate issues
collaborative learning
cooperative economies and production methods
territory and participation

Several workshops are part of an exhibition or event. The first TEST workshop on climate issues took place during the exhibition Table of Content in the Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken.

Stay tuned to keep updated on when and where you can join the workshops!

The project is coordinated by the german association Constructlab-Berlin e.V. (Gemeinnützigkeit anerkannt)
